Rule 140
Calculation of employment period
: (1) For the purposes of this section, when calculating the employment period, the total period of employment after being permanently appointed to a position in the police service (if it is broken in between, then the broken period shall be deducted).
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if the person who has received gratuity is reinstated in the police service or position according to the decision of the court or the decision in the appeal against the departmental punishment imposed in accordance with this regulation, he will be reinstated only if he returns the amount of gratuity received earlier. .
(3) According to sub-rule (1), while calculating the period of employment, the period of suspension shall also be counted.
